Buck has done some previous work on website advertising for Microsoft’s Surface Laptops and for this project, we were creating animations for their latest versions. There were two working on videos for the website, socials, and in-store and I worked on one of the four films used on socials and in-store. We shared textures across each of the films, and I worked on the lighting, animation, and compositing for this piece. Texture and satisfying motion were key to making the laptop appealing and interesting to the consumer and we want the light to feel like a kiss of sun activating features and highlighting improved qualities of the latest model.
