Coin Rig
I was working on another personal project that needed an animated torus to do a coin-like motion when it lands on the ground and I wanted to showcase that rig with an actual coin animation. Everything is keyframed up until the moment it vibrates on the ground and I begin to use the rig I setup using a single Plain Effector.
For this showcase, I spent a little extra time designing it, so I created some alt versions with different camera distances and animations. I also wanted to see what animating the ground textured looked like but it became too distracting.
I also took some time to video tape a penny dropping multiple times until I got a bounce I wanted to imitate. It’s crazy the amount of variation I got before this bounce.
